During your stay at Broughton House, we want you to feel completely at home. Relax downstairs, by the fire, and read a book, or borrow a map and a guidebook, and make plans to explore the local lanes and fells. In the summer, make the most of the garden - there are plenty of corners to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet, with a glass of Pimms, or - if you prefer - a pot of tea and some scones. If you are celebrating a wedding anniversary, or a birthday, we will make you a cake and if you would like a bottle of champagne in your room, or flowers, or chocolates, then we will be delighted to put these in place for your arrival. Our aim is simply for you to feel at home, and have a lovely, relaxing time.

Situated in a separate wing of the house, East is an en-suite, private, and very comfortable bedroom. The shower room and dressing area, are on a mezzanine floor, above the bedroom, which has a super king sized bed, which converts into twin beds if required. Equipped with a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, a DAB radio with an iPod dock, a television, and furnished with a mixture of contemporary and antique furniture, East has beautiful views over the surrounding countryside, and is the perfect place to relax and recharge your batteries.

South is a more traditional room, situated in the older part of the house, and it has recently been upgraded by the addition of a lovely, en-suite shower room. There is everything necessary for a comfortable stay - a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, a television, and a DAB radio. The comfortable king size bed looks out over the garden, with views to Hampsfell, and nothing should disturb your sleep except the owls.
